“A Summer's End Poem” won the Best Narrative Short Film in the International Competition section of the 18th Beirut Shorts International Film Festival (BEIRUT SHORTS, BSIFF).
Since its establishment in 2007, the Beirut International Short Film Festival has championed the “power of youth,” showcasing the remarkable talent and artistic vision of young filmmakers each year.
In 2024, the festival received official accreditation from the Academy Awards (Oscars). Under the new rules, winners of Best International Narrative Short, Best International Documentary Short, and Best International Animated Short automatically qualify for consideration in the Oscars’ short film categories.
“A Summer's End Poem” received its Oscar-qualifying award and will be eligible to compete for Best Live Action Short Film at the 98th Academy Awards in 2026.
