About the Project:
Dangkal is a slow-burn supernatural horror film set in a cursed mansion in Southeast Asia, blending the atmospheric dread of John Carpenter with the spiritual terror of James Wan. Grounded in local folklore and historical trauma, it explores how guilt, betrayal, and broken rules of the spirit world can awaken the past. With a distinct visual style, multilingual dialogue, and a single-location structure, it is designed for high cinematic impact on a modest budget.
